Sandwash Basin Red Wild Stallion

ACRYLIC • 12x12" • $475

STATUS: AVAILABLE

Painting the stallion a brilliant red, I called him the Red Wild Stallion from Sand Wash Basin. My trip was in 2008. This beautiful, dynamic mustang was in truth a black stallion, standing in the golden waving field of grass, standing taller than all the others. Clearly it was his land, and his family’s, whom he was protecting. They stood to his left, confident in their leader, waiting for him to return to them. Taking a few more photos, I then thanked them for letting me be there with them and turned to leave quietly, as always.
