DISAPPEARING AMERICAN WILD HORSE III
ACRYLIC • 48x48" • $5200

STATUS: AVAILABLE

This painting is from my series of Disappearing American Wild Horse. It is a 48x48 and I painted much smaller ones as well, such as 9x12. Sand Wash Basin is the largest wild horse management area (HMA) in Colorado. This mustang and his band stood pressed, hearts and heads together, observing me, but they were far away from where I stood, camera in hand.  It would not have been right to invade their space. I stayed back taking several pictures. Then I turned to leave, turned again for another look and they were gone. Disappeared, all of them! Quiet colors for the empty land when they were gone.
